Hey Windows Insiders! We’re excited to announce the release of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.4515 (KB5046756) for the Beta Channel.
Here’s how updates work in the Beta Channel: some new features, improvements, and fixes will roll out gradually to those who’ve enabled the “Get the latest updates” option in Settings > Windows Update. Other updates will be available to everyone in the Beta Channel. For more details, don’t forget to check the reminders at the end of this blog post!
Windows 11 Insider Preview ARM64 – Latest Build 22635.4515
Windows 11 is a personal computer operating system produced by Microsoft as part of its Windows NT operating system series. This is the successor to Windows 10, which was released to manufacturing on July 15, 2015, and went on sale on July 29, 2015. The Microsoft Windows 10 operating system receives additional releases on a regular basis, which are available for users at no additional cost. These updates can be applied to devices in enterprise environments at a slower rate, or to devices with long-term support milestones that only receive critical patches over their ten-year lifespan.
In Windows 11, Universal apps are among Windows 11’s most noteworthy features. These apps are an expansion of the Metro-style apps introduced in . Microsoft is able to create universal applications designed to run across a wide range of Microsoft products, including PCs, tablets, smartphones, embedded systems, Xbox One, Surface Hub, and Mixed Reality.
It incorporates both ‘s traditional start menu, as well as the tiles from ‘s Start screen. Both interfaces manage the transition between mouse-based and touchscreen-based interfaces based on the input device. Microsoft Edge, a virtual desktop management tool called Task View, fingerprint and face authentication login support, new security features for enterprise environments, and DirectX 12 support were also part of Windows 10’s features. Changes and Improvements in Beta Channel Release
[Start menu]
You can now right-click local files in the Recommended section of the Start menu to quickly share them.
[Magnifier]
Magnifier users get a handy new shortcut: CTRL + ALT + Minus to switch between your current zoom level and 1X zoom in a flash!
Things Fixes to the Beta Channel with toggle on?
[File Explorer]
- Fixed a bug where typing a path into the address bar didn’t let you navigate properly.
- Resolved an issue where the File Explorer address bar would awkwardly overlap with content when in full-screen mode (F11).
- Made right-clicking on cloud files faster by improving context menu performance.
- Updated File Explorer to show thumbnails for cloud files more reliably in search results.
- Fixed some crashes with explorer.exe, including ones that happened when creating new folders in specific locations.
